Are You--or Is Someone You Know--Unemployed or Underemployed?
Then You Might Find This Message Helpful
Kitty J. Boitnott, Ph.D., NBCT
Certified Life Strategies & Stress Management Coach
Career Transition & Job Search Coach with CareerHMO
This message is a little out of the ordinary. I hope you will find it useful, however, if not for yourself, perhaps for someone you know.
Let me give just a little background. Most of you know that in addition to offering life strategies coaching and stress management workshops, I work with a company called CareerHMO as a Career Transition and Job Search Coach. I have been working with CareerHMO since June of 2014.
In that capacity, I offered a live Webinar for the University of Virginia Alumni Career Center last week. It was entitled, "Career Transitions for the Underemployed."
While the target audience for the Webinar included alumni and parents of students at the University of Virginia, the information is pertinent, I believe, to anyone who finds themselves in job search mode. The strategies and information offered could help a graduating senior who is job hunting for the first time. It can also help the mid-career professional who feels like it is time to make a change.
I used J.T. O'Donnell's information around the 8 ways that job seekers are being shut out of the hiring process, and I customized that message for the UVA audience.
The UVA Alumni Career Center has now released the Webinar for me to share with anyone I want, and I choose to share it with you.
Whether you are interested in the strategies that can lead to a successful job search or not, you more than likely know someone who is going through a job search process. Please feel free to share this information with them.
It is already a little dated. I took the opportunity to promote the RVA Career Fair that took place on March 9. That opportunity has come and gone, but the next RVA Career Fair has already been scheduled for October 16, 2015, so the information I offer is pertinent for that job fair as well as other job fairs that are being held all of the time.
If you have questions, please don't hesitate to let me know. Please share as widely as you like. This is offered as my gift to you. I think some of the information is important for people to have, so I want it to be shared.
Please like me on Facebook, follow me onTwitter, and find me on LinkedIn.
If you or a friend or family member is looking for a job because they are out of work, between jobs, or underemployed, contact me for information about the “disruptive job search” methodology that is taught at CareerHMO, the “cure for chronic career pain.” I am now working as a career coach with CareerHMO and am looking for people who could benefit from the program and the fantastic resources that are available through CareerHMO and its sister site, Careerealism.
