they must be felt with the heart." ~ Helen Keller

Collect Moments Not Things

For today's video message, click hereIn today's message, I try to convey my heartfelt appreciation for the notes of support, caring and concern that I have received from many of you in the past few weeks. Thank you.

I also make it a point to talk a little about the way my mom's passing reminded me of the importance of treasuring moments as opposed to things. This past month or so has been made up of many emotions, a proverbial roller coaster ride where we hoped against hope that Mom might actually get well and come home juxtaposed between the recognition that her little body just wasn't up to the final battle. But, in the meantime, each of her children got to spend quality time with her, and for that we are all grateful.

I just wanted to remind you that it is truly the little things that matter, and the moments that make up our lives are to be treasured. Take time to call a loved one today and tell them that you love them. It will mean so much to them, and you will benefit from it too.

If you are struggling with a loss of your own, let me know. Perhaps we can work through it together.

Until next week.

Have you downloaded your free book, Stressed, Stretched, and Just Plain Overwhelmed yet? This book explains the negative health implications of not understanding and dealing with the stress in your life. It offers practical, affordable, common sense strategies for taking better care of yourself and it offers advice on creating work-life balance which eludes most of us too much of the time.

Please feel free to share as you see fit. As I said, I just want the information to get to the people who need it.
