Are You Full of Limitations or Full of Possibilities?

The video message for today is about how we sometimes limit ourselves with our own thoughts of limitation. I met a young woman recently to consistently referred to herself as disabled, but more than that, she had made her disability a part of her identity. She said to me repeatedly, "I am disabled."

I urged her to consider that while she may have a disability, that doesn't need to make her permanently disabled. Her disability is not who she is and she is not her disability. Her disability is something she experiences but it is not what defines her as a lovely young woman with her whole life ahead of her.

You may be unconsciously doing the same thing. If so, I urge you to consider that your limitations need not define you. In fact, I urge you to consider eliminating negative thinking altogether and instead, concentrate on what is possible for you. A life filled with possibilities seems so much better to me than a life filled with limitation.

I urge you to watch the video and think about your own thoughts about yourself and your life. Do you approach life from the standpoint of the various things that are possible for you? Or are you like the young woman who has decided to define herself as her disability? 

If you are limiting yourself with your thoughts, I urge you to consider that you ARE your thoughts, and it is up to you to choose the thoughts that will allow you to live more fully, more happily and more enthusiastically.
