There are many ways you can increase your happiness. And there are mental tricks you can use that don't need much effort or preparation. Our words have power. By repeating mantras or positive affirmations throughout your day, you will feel happier and empowered. You will develop a positive attitude that sticks with you. Here are seven such mantras or affirmations that, when used often, can change your life.
These three words can help prevent you from falling into a slump of self-hatred. Too many people fail to love or respect themselves. They forget that they are amazing, beautiful, unique, and special. Each one of us is one of a kind! There isn't anyone else like you anywhere in the world. You have gifts and talents you take for granted. Repeat this mantra often, so the words become ingrained in you. When you feel doubtful or afraid, remind yourself that you are amazing!
Gratitude is a sure way to gain happiness. There is even research to support this fact. When you are grateful, you are reminding yourself of the good things in your life. In turn, this positive attitude attracts even more good things into your life.
3. I Love Myself at All Times.
One of life's most important lessons is that we need to love ourselves. If you feel as though you haven't quite gotten to the point of full self-love, then repeat these words until you do. Say them when you feel pleased with yourself, as well as when you are angry and disappointed in yourself. Remember the commandment that you should love your neighbor as yourself? You can't begin to love anyone else if you don't also love yourself first.
4. I Am a Magnet to Good Things.
Believe that good things and positive situations are headed your way. Your belief attracts those good things and positive situations to you. Think of yourself as a magnet. Then think of attracting everything that is amazing that you want. Your positive thoughts will draw those things to you with ease. Your self-confidence and positive spirit attract what they put out. You will see your life becoming enriched as you repeat this mantra often.
5. I Attract Healthy People into My Life.
Even in the best circumstances, the wrong people will keep us from going far. Create a circle of friends who are hopeful and positive as you are. Avoid drama. Repeat this mantra to yourself. Avoid the temptation of getting involved in someone's negative energy. Use this mantra to create a circle of positive energy around yourself. Negative people and situations will be repelled by your good energy. And you will attract positive people and situations instead.
6. I Can Do Anything I Set My Mind To.
Believing in yourself and having confidence in what you can achieve will take you far. When you know that you can do anything you set your mind to, you will find unlimited happiness in that knowledge. Speak these words when you are struggling to change your situation. Know that you have the power it takes to do so.
No matter how much money a person makes, life will feel pointless without a sense of purpose. There are books written on the subject that can help you discover your specific purpose. Find them. Read them. And put their wisdom to work.
Think about the things you love and are drawn to. What gives you your greatest feeling of satisfaction? You have something special to offer the world, and this mantra reminds you of that.
Our words hold much power, and mantras are a great way to set us on the path to happiness. When you use your words to bring positive things into your life, you will find happiness. Repeat these mantras and find out what a difference they will make for you.
A word of caution. Avoid using negative language as much as possible. Try to catch yourself when you want to say things like, "I am sick and tired of..." or "I always do....." Use the words "am" and "always" with caution. The energy embedded in the language you use is as real as electricity. You can't always see it in action, but you can always see its effect, right? The words we use to express our thoughts have greater power than you may have considered before. But the science behind this phenomena is incontrovertible. The fact that "thoughts become things" has been proved time and time again.
These are a few of the wonderful affirmations or mantras you can use to improve your life. There are many others. Choose one that inspires you.
In closing, I would love to share a message that I ran across in my reading last week. I was so taken by it that I wrote it down and shared it with some friends. I would like to share it with you now. I keep it close to my computer right here on my desk, so I can read it several times a day as a reminder.
"I rely on my Inner Power to work with me in creating the kind of life I deeply desire. I know that within myself I can find the guidance I seek and the strength I need. With love in my heart, knowing I am unbound and unlimited, I accept myself as a happy, healthy, strong and successful person right here and right now" ~ Dr. Ernest Holmes
If you would like to learn more about Dr. Holmes and his teaching, let me know. I would love to share with you what I have learned in my years of study as a student of Science of Mind. This philosophy is all about the science behind thoughts becoming things. It teaches the power of the words we use both to ourselves and to others. I have felt empowered by this study, and if you are interested, I would be happy to share.
