Happy Thanksgiving Text on beautiful composition of Pumpkin, squash and leaves

Thanksgiving is just a couple of days away, and I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. If you are traveling to get with family and friends for the first time in a long time, safe travels.

Consider how far we have come since last year this time. I don't know about you, but I am thankful for those who contributed to the formulation and distribution of vaccines. They have made us safer (if not 100% safe). Vaccines make it easier for us to see loved ones in person this year.

I know I am thankful for my family and friends who I will be seeing this week while I miss my brother, who passed away in May. Of course, first holidays without a loved one are difficult, and I suspect this one will be no less difficult. But life goes on. And his passing was another reminder of just how important family is and how moments spent with them are precious beyond measure.

If you are also missing a loved one for the first time this Thanksgiving holiday, think of them and cherish your memories of them. That's what we can do to honor their memories in their physical absence. But know that they are still with you in your heart of hearts.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Until next time.
