I know that it may be a little premature to declare that it is Spring already. The calendar says that the first day of Spring isn't until March 21st. I read today, however, that meteorologically speaking, March 1st is the start of Spring. Given the bout of crazy weather most of us in the U.S. have seen this winter, I will take it. I don't know about you, but I am more than ready for Spring!

I also noted in my message last week that Spring had to be on its way. I know that it is, even as I see the last vestiges of the last ice and snow storm melting away today in the sunshine that is in such stark contrast to last week's dreariness. I was longing for Spring last week; and now it seems that it is finally at hand.

Spring connotes more than just better weather on the horizon, however. It is a time for rebirth and a sense of renewal. It is time to check in on those New Year's Resolutions that you might have made back in January. How are you coming with those? Are you on track to meet your goals for this year? Or have you fallen off the track and into the proverbial ditch?

This is the perfect season for taking stock and reconsidering your goals. If you meant to get healthy in 2015, it's not too late. You can still get started, and perhaps with better weather, you can get outdoors and walk some extra laps around the neighborhood. The time changed for most of us in the U.S. this weekend. That means you will have more daylight hours to help you stay motivated if you want to go to the gym in the evening instead of coming home and cocooning.

It is also time for spring cleaning...cleaning out the old things that you no longer need or serve you. Give those items to people who can use them. We accumulate a lot of "stuff" in the normal course of living, and if we were honest with ourselves, we wouldn't really need a lot of it. Maybe it's time to clean out the closet or finally tackle the mess in the garage.

And it may also be time to take stock of some other things in your life...like relationships that no longer serve you or a job that causes you more pain than satisfaction. Perhaps it's time to check in with your inner self to see if you are in alignment with your Source, whether you call it God, the Universe, or the Creator of All. It could be a time for getting reconnected.

Spring is a great time for taking stock. It is a perfect time for cleaning out closets and checking in on personal attitudes.

If you made a resolution to make 2015 a better year for yourself, it's time to check in to see if you are on track. If you aren't, it may be time to get some help. Do you need an accountability partner? Do you need to find a mentor who will help advise you and show you a way? Do you need a coach to help you clarify your goals and determine the strategies you need to meeting them? These are questions that you can ask yourself any time, but this is a great time of year for taking stock and recommitting yourself if necessary.

Think about it. And enjoy this wonderful season of rebirth and renewal. I urge you to take advantage of the beauty that this season offers.
