Do You Love Your Work?

Do You Love Your Work?

Rev. Dr. Kitty Boitnott, NBCT, RScP

Heart-Centered Career Transition & Job Search Coach | Possibility Thinker

By now, you probably know that I am a little obsessed with the idea that the only way to have a wonderful life is to be engaged in work that you love. If you are spending a third or more of your waking hours engaged in work you do not enjoy, you are wasting your time. If that sounds blunt, I apologize. But consider that no one knows how long they have to live. Life is precious. And it can be cut short at any moment. So, consider how you are spending your time on work. Do you love what you do? Or do you go to work daily feeling dread and reluctance?

If you love your work, you are in the minority according to the Gallop Poll people. As many as 85% of people worldwide say they hate their jobs. They especially hate their bosses. The statistic is only slightly better in the U.S. compared to the world at large. Only 70% of Americans say they hate their jobs or they are just going through the motions every day. When I decided to create my own job back in February of 2013 (a full five years ago) it was because I did not want to be part of the "I hate my job club." Do you?

As a result of my basic belief that you should love your work, I am offering a new, revamped Master Class on "Work You Love." This week, you can join me "LIVE" for an updated presentation. Even if you have been with me in the past, however, I invite you to join me Thursday or Saturday. I have been working on updating the previous presentation. And I will be offering a special Valentine's Day sale on my signature program.

Sign up to learn about the discount on the program. Learn about the bonuses I am throwing in, too. Sign up to join me either Thursday or Saturday. Thursday's presentation is at 7:00 PM EST and the Saturday presentation is at 11:00 AM EST.

Why do you want to join me?

Whether you love your current job or not, the truth is that all jobs are temporary. No job is going to last a lifetime anymore. The days of working in one job for 30 years and retiring with a great pension are over. Companies come and go almost at the speed of light and jobs come and go even faster. Even if you think you don't want to change jobs anytime soon, you need to prepare. Let's say for example, that the economy takes another unforeseen downturn. It could happen. What would you do? How long would it take you to prepare for a job change if your job disappeared tomorrow?

And this next message is for my teacher peeps. How much longer do you think you want to be teaching? I get calls from people every day who have hit the wall. They don't want to continue for another week, much less another year. Yet, few are prepared to quit on the spot. They can't even imagine what they would do instead. They haven't crafted a resume. And they don't have a LinkedIn profile that would make them attractive candidates. More importantly, they don't know where to begin to do either.

This presentation offers three secrets of EVERY successful job search or career change. So, even if you don't want to buy anything at this point, you will learn a lot.

So, what do you say? Sign up for the free, LIVE presentation Thursday night or Saturday morning. I would love to see you there.

If you have questions, shoot me a message. I would love to hear from you.

Until next time.

P.S.

Don't forget. If you want to attend the LIVE Master Class on "Work You Love," you have two options. Thursday night (February 8th) at 7:00 PM EST and Saturday, (February 10th) at 11:00 AM EST.

I will be talking about how to find work you and how to use three secrets of EVERY successful job search or career change AND I will be talking about the new Work You Love Academy that will be starting Saturday, February 17th.
